Cardinia Compass
is a community association concerned with promoting the
long term health and wellbeing of the Cardinia region -
its environment, society, economy, and the welfare and
livelihood of its communities and residents.
Working in conjunction with Council, the Group has developed
a set of indicators to act as a 'Compass' for the community
to see where it is at, and where it is going.
Who?
The Cardinia Compass `Committee’ members are listed
below. Yet this is but a small reference group for the
community as a whole. Public membership is welcome, as
is membership by the many community organisations doing ‘real’ things
on the ground to improve the quality of life in Cardinia.

And
before this…
Several community members of the original Council Working
Group were keen to build on their involvement with the indicators
work. So they applied for, and received, a grant from the
Reichstein Foundation to:
- Inform and engage a wide range of community organisations
and general public about the indicators;
- Develop a Community-Council partnership to progress
the indicators;
- Establish a widely representative “Round Table” that
will carry the project forward.
